Longhuxiang historic area is located in the Nanmen area of Dingshan Community in Pukou District of Nanjing. The area attracted a lot of workers of Puzhen Automobile Factory who moved from Tianjin and Tangshan to Nanjing. Buildings in this area demonstrate a typical Tianjin residential style, which makes it a unique traditional residence complex in Nanjing.
The oldest building in the area was built in the 34thYear of the Guangxu Period of the Qing Dynasty at the investment made by comprador Liu Fengyou. Most of the residents were from Tianjin and Tangshan. Now, many of the fifth and sixth generations of these workers still live in these old buildings.
Yards built with small cyan-blue bricks and small black tiles are neatly arranged on both sides of the street. A strong cultural atmosphere and related picturesque scene can be felt in the area.
