Liu Xinjie, a postgraduate of Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology, proposed to his girlfriend Zhang Su with no diamond rings, no flowers but a proposal titled The Social Science Fund Program Proposal for Our Family. His girl friend Zhang was really touched and said yes!
Liu and Zhang fell in love with each other in the college and both of them will continue to study for their doctorates in Chinese Academy of Sciences. Over the past six years, Liu Xinjie has always felt guilty to Zhang for he is not romantic. While planning his proposal, Liu Xinjie thought of the living skill for a scientific researcher——writing program proposals.
And thus, an 8,000-word proposal titled The Social Science Fund Program Proposal for Our Family was born. This proposal including many parts like “Basis of Research”, “Existed Problems” and “Proposed Solutions” and also “Experts’ Advice” given by their seniors. The “Research Period: a Lifetime” written on the cover page are just his most romantic words.
