32 Jiangsu athletes to compete in Rio

Thirty-two Jiangsu athletes will attend the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, which is to be open on Aug. 6. Twenty-five females and 7 males, the athletes will compete in 13 sports and 37 events.

Epee fencer Xu Anqi, women’s flyweight(-49kg) taekwondo champion Wu Jingyu, diver Chen Ruolin, and another six seeded athlete are placed with high expectations for medals.

A mobilization meeting was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the afternoon of July 18th. The Chinese delegation is made up of 711 members, biggest ever for an overseas sport games.
