This day, 8 October, in 1975, Deng Xiaoping met with Prime Minister of Yugoslavia, Džemal Bijedić. Deng pointed out that the Third World is the foundation of the Non-Aligned Movement. The third world is diverse, as is the Non-Aligned Movement. The difference is that the third world does not have a voice, but the Non-Aligned Movement does, thanks to its founding in Yugoslavia 20 years prior.
