On this Day in Chinese History; 30 August

This day, 30 August, in 2016, the Chinese embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic was attacked by a suicide car bomber. The attacker was killed on the spot and three embassy employees, all Kyrgyz nationals, were injured. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the terrorist attack and stated that it will increase anti-terrorism cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic and other countries in the region.
