On this Day in Chinese History; 27 October

This day, 27 October, in 1981, Luis Antonio Herrera Campins, President of Venezuela, paid an official goodwill-visit to China, the first by a Venezuelan president since diplomatic relations were established in 1974. Both sides stated their belief that there is an urgent need to change the world economic structure on the basis of more reasonable international relations and to establish a fair new international economic order.
