On this Day in Chinese History; 16 October

This day, 16 October, in 1964, China successfully detonated its first atomic bomb. That same day, the Chinese government stated its advocation for the complete prohibition and thorough destruction of nuclear weapons; China develops such for defence and to break the monopoly of nuclear powers.  China will not be the first to use nuclear weapons at any time and under any circumstances.
