On this Day in Chinese History; 12 September

This day, 12 September, in 1984, the 21st Century Committee for China-Japan Friendship held its first meeting in Japan, as an advisory body to the Chinese and Japanese governments composed of people from the two countries’ academic, political and economic circles. The Committee meets in China and Japan in rotation every year.
