This day, 10 October, in 2000, the “Forum on China-Africa Cooperation; Beijing 2000 Ministerial Conference” was held in Beijing. Among the commitments made by China were those to provide special funds to support and encourage strong, reputable Chinese companies to invest in Africa, and to establish the “African Human Resources Development Fund” to help African countries train its professional talent.
