A direct bus route connecting Yangzhou’s Jinghuacheng Living Mall and Nanjing’s Jinniu Lake Subway Station opened on August 8.

The K30 route covers 76 kilometers, making it the longest in Yangzhou with 115 stops. The full fare is 10 yuan ($1.50) and the bus offers easy access to scenic spots such as Jasmine Garden Resort and Jinniu Lake scenic area in Nanjing, and Nashan Mountain Geological Park in Yangzhou. Passengers can take the bus every 20 minutes from 5:00 am to 7:50 pm in Nanjing and from 5:00 am to 4:50 pm in Yangzhou.

Residents in Yizheng mountain areas in Yangzhou are particularly happy about the new route as it opens up access to other places. Compared with alternate routes on trains and coaches that cost more than 30 yuan ($4.50), the bus is a much cheaper option.

Since 2014, the Jiangsu provincial government has focused on improving transport connections between urban areas in Nanjing, Yangzhou and Zhenjiang. It has also set up the “Jiangsu T-Union” card, which offers travel discounts in cities across the province.
