A 1.2-meter long catfish with a weight of 15.5kg was caught by a fisherman surnamed Hua in Hanjiang District of Yangzhou on June 22.
He found this big catfish on his net when he fished as usual. This fish was kept by a temporary net cage alone for its long body. Mr Hua sold this fish at 500 yuan (US$81.6) to a fishmonger shortly after going ashore. It is estimated that this fish is over 10 years old.
