The final of China Aeromodelling Design Challenge was held in Zhenjiang-based Jiangsu Aviation Technical College on Oct 17.

China Aeromodelling Design Challenge is an aerospace model event that integrates science and technology, education and sports. It is one of the three major world university scientific research aircraft design competitions along with SAE Aero Design Competition held in the US and Air Cargo Challenge held in Europe.

Over 2,000 students from over 100 universities in China participated in the competition. In addition, top domestic aviation experts were also invited to the finals.

The aviation industry is one of the key emerging industries in Zhenjiang. The city has attracted almost 70 companies of the industry. Zhenjiang will build a complete industrial chain to become a three-dimensional “aviation city” that has precision manufacturing and machine manufacturing in aviation structural parts and general navigation services.
