In order to offer a more pleasant environment for the visa application process, the former Nanjing Exit and Entry Administration of the Public Security Bureau located on Sanyuan Xiang, No1 Honggongci is closing its doors to the public.
From Monday, 23rd March onwards, the office will no longer accept any visa submissions.
Beginning that day, the new visa centre at No 173, Baixia Lu opposite the Red Cross hospital will take over, while applications being submitted to the old office need to arrive before 19th March, the period of 20th until 22nd having been allocated for the office move.
Since the streets around the offices are one-way and parking opportunities this close to the city do not abound, the best way of getting to the centre is by public transport.
The closest metro stop at the moment is Zhangfuyuan exit 3 on line 1, while from April onwards line 3 will be in operation, with the closest stop on the new line being Changfu Jie exit 1. If you dare to brave the buses, there are countless connections in the vicinity, with stops in walkable distance including Baixia Lu, Changbai Jie, and Taiping Nan Lu/ Baixia Lu.
