On this Day in Chinese History; 8 March

This day, 8 March, 1976, the Consulate General of China in Osaka, Japan, officially opened. Holding an important position in the history of Sino-Japanese exchanges, many Japanese envoys departed Japan to China from Osaka during the Tang Dynasty, while more recently, Japan has built a hotel in Osaka specifically to welcome Chinese envoys.
