This day, 26 June, in 1945, representatives from 50 countries signed the United Nations Charter in San Francisco, USA, in that which was a major achievement in planning an international peace system after World War II, reflecting the good wishes of people from all over the world for peace. For China, the Charter was signed by representatives Gu Weijun and Dong Biwu.
