This day, 21 December, in 1991, Palestinian President Yasser Arafat held talks with Chinese leaders during his official goodwill visit to China. Arafat thanked the Chinese government and the nation’s people for their consistent support of the Palestinian liberation cause, and praised China as a sincere friend of Palestinian and all Arab people. Arafat visited China 14 times during his lifetime.
