Weird happenings have resumed in the form of Hash House Harriers, otherwise just known as Hash. A bunch of people wandering around part of the city on Sunday, uttering the strange cry of “ON ON”, as they searched for their beer stop. You can read more about it on www.nanjingexpat.com, along with other activities that can get you out of the apartment in Nanjing.

In terms of it being easier to get around these days, you will have seen large numbers of brightly coloured bicycles parked on sidewalks or being ridden around Nanjing. It’s all part of new bike sharing apps, with several companies vying for your business. Apparently business is rather cut-throat in Shanghai, with many bikes being sabotaged. Even worse, local government in Shanghai is not happy with it, and is removing bikes that are blocking thoroughfares. Here in Nanjing, there is no drama so far. Check with your Chinese friends if you want to use this very convenient service.
