Years ago, we saw the construction of three tall buildings at the beginning of Zhujiang Lu. Daylight hours were a hive of activity, but at night when work was at a minimum, the site became a looming, dark, and threatening weight. It was like a huge monster dominating the area. Fast forward to 2017 and the construction of nearly two dozen buildings simultaneously in Xian Lin. Modern technology means that the site is bathed in light every night. Apart from practical measures, the towering cranes are also festooned with light. Iridescent blue decorations seem to mark the border between the land and the sky. It’s worth a visit one evening.

Apart from the June hard copy now out, The Nanjinger website is a busy place lately with a host of stories to illuminate this quiet time of year. Time to check it out.
