We missed it! Two weeks ago marked ten years of WiBGi/Lifecycle. On the 27th of April the first email went out, asking the question “Wouldn’t It Be Great If …..?” It grew out of the email list started by Bluesky, the Australian Restaurant and Bar in Shanghai Lu, expanding from a few hundred to thousands. Merging with the (then) new website, nanjingexpat.com, to benefit both, it continued with its mix of news, events, and chat. In turn, that site was replaced by thenanjinger.com which survives despite the huge impact of WeChat in our lives. How much has changed in those ten years! We now live in a more modern city of light, electric buses, metro light rail, and tall buildings galore.
A date that is getting very close! On Saturday the 20th, from 11am to 3pm, The British School of Nanjing will hold its ever-popular Great British Summer Fair. Games, music, food, drink, and prizes all combine to make it a premier family event in Nanjing. Don’t miss it.
