Another day, another traffic snarl. While most accidents are nudges and scrapes that give rise to endless arguments and traffic jams, it seems like every day you can see another bike knocked down by a car or crushed under a bus. It is hardly surprising as riders seem to be oblivious to traffic laws, and for whom traffic lights do not exist. Helmets? Scarcer than hen’s teeth in fox country. Remember that these two wheeled missiles can come from any direction at any time, requiring constant movement of the eyes to avoid them.

So while the official death toll on the roads is somewhere north of 80,000 per year, it is also not surprising that a recent university study of hospital records estimates the figure at close to a quarter of a million.

Using a VPN been a bit hit and miss in the past week? Could it be a paranoid response to the G20 meeting? If so, we can expect it to be OK in about a week.
