A thank-you letter coming across numerous mountains and rivers from the Essex County in Britain was sent to Dafeng District, Yancheng, Jiangsu province.
“I’m very honored to receive the porcelain plate you sent. The engraved image of our Queen Elizabeth II on it is very vivid. This precious gift is a witness of our amity with Jiangsu province,” wrote Penny Channer, Essex County Councilor. The porcelain plate mentioned in the letter is British Queen, a work created by Chen Yin, the representative of Dafeng porcelain carving. It was given to the Essex County Government in Britain during the London exhibition held in April, 2016.
