Recently, some people in Changzhou found strange insects on oriental plane trees on both sides of Changzhou’s Yanling Road.
In fact, this is the experimental release by a research group of Changzhou Green Station. The group selected a total of 152 oriental plane trees from Chaoyangqiao to Zhengchengqiao on Yanling Road and released helophoroides egg cards. Dastarcus helophoroides are predators of anoplophora chinensis.
Liu Jiaohua, deputy director of the station, introduced that May is the perfect time for the growth of dastarcus helophoroides in Changzhou. The plants in that section is conducive for the experiment and the research group will follow closely on the development of this experiment as they hope to breed Changzhou’s local predators through this method.
