This day, 26 July, in 1947, ships surrendered by Japan to China arrived in Shanghai. Received by the Nanjing National Government in two batches, each flew an “E” signal flag, designated as a provisional Japanese civil ensign. The acceptance of said ships was carried out in accordance with the relevant agreement between China, Great Britain, the Soviet Union and the United States.
