Man unplugs traffic light to charge mobile phone

A man was found unplug the traffic light at the intersection of Zhongshandong Road in Nanjing for two times to charge his own mobile phone, according to Jiangsu media on Feb 3. As a result, the traffic light in one direction was always red and that in the other direction was always green. Some residents noticed the traffic light problem and so the police investigated the surveillance video and found a suspicious man near the control box of the traffic light, standing there for more than one hour. During his stay near the traffic light, the traffic light started to malfunction. The police deduced that the suspect was used to going out at night so they waited on the scene. After more than one week, the suspect was caught at the intersection. After interrogation, the cause was the suspect’s mobile phone was out of power and he unplugged the traffic light to charge his own mobile phone.
