An online certificate notarization application system was opened to public by the Nanjing Notary Office for such notarizations as international driver’s license, according to a Jiangsu media report on Jan 6.
An online notarization service website with an address of http://www.njnotary.cn/ was opened to public by Nanjing Notary Office on Jan 1, 2015. Residents in Nanjing can apply for notarization at any places at any time on the Internet and submit the necessary evidences and documents for the notarization through the Internet.
A total of 36 types of notarization application can be handled online to date, including international driver’s license and academic certificate for overseas study application. The 36 types of notarization application selected by Nanjing Notary Office are those for various types of certificates most commonly applied for by residents in Nanjing, including international driver’s license, academic certificate for overseas study application and housing ownership certificate.
The fees for online notarization application can be paid by Alipay, a world leading third-party payment platform owned by alibaba.com in China, and China’s UnionPay card. A notary told reporters that the online notarization application platform uses the PKI technology for the multilayer encryption processing of all the documents submitted by notary parties and saves the data in the offline mode.
