Jiangsu’s doctors aren’t only intellectual, it seems that many are also musically talented! A special concert, hosted by doctors from Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital, was held on November 29th at Nanjing Zijin Grand Theatre, during which 18 songs that described the “dreams” and “time” of doctors were performed.
The lead singer of the concert, Zhao Yi, is a surgeon working in Jiangsu provincial people’s hospital. In the 80s, when he was still studying in the college, Zhao was an arty youth and won the campus singing championship in 1992. A decade later, Zhao has become the associate professor of Nanjing Medical University after working as an associate chief physician and a postgraduate tutor. His life is a juggling act between his working unit, his home and his school. Yet, despite all of this, he deep down still dreams of singing. Zhao Yi performed 15 songs among the 18 songs of the concert. A male duo titled List of Dreams, performed by Zhao Yi and another singer, was composed by Qin Chao, Zhao Yi’s friend and a urinary surgeon from Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital.
