The list of 2014 Innovation Fund for Technology-Based Small and Medium-Sized Firms (the former National SME Technology Innovation Fund) — the categories of technology innovation and technology service — was jointly released by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance, reporter learned from the Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Province on July 3.
Among the enlisted projects, 79 are from Suzhou, receiving a total fund of 72.87 million yuan ($11.74 million) and ranking the first in Jiangsu province. In the technology innovation category, 51 projects, including the “Development and Application of Hollow-Fiber Solvent Nanofiltration Membrane System” submitted by Suzhou Xinwangmo Technology Co Ltd, account for 25.5 percent of projects submitted by Jiangsu, and the fund received totals 42.36 million yuan ($6.82 million), accounting for 22.7 percent of total fund granted to Jiangsu.
In the technology service category, 28 projects, including the “Capacity Building Project of BioBay on Enterprise Incubation Service of Biomedical Technology Enterprises” filed by Suzhou Industrial Park Bio-Industry Development Co Ltd, account for 34.6 percent of projects from Jiangsu, and the fund totals 30.51 million yuan ($4.91 million), accounting for 37.2 percent of the total fund Jiangsu received.
