On this Day in Chinese History; 11 March

This day, 11 March, in 1992, China joined the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. Since the first day it acquired nuclear weapons, China has unilaterally promised not to be the first to use such at any time and under any circumstances, and has undertaken the obligation not to use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear countries and regions.
