A Tesla electric automobile bought by a young man from Changzhou, Jiangsu province, has been exhibited in many cities, attracting a large number of fans.

Tesla, a kind of electric–powered vehicle developed at Silicon Valley, is fueled by lithium-ion batteries instead of petrol.

The car’s owner Zhang Gaole, born in 1983, runs an auto beauty shop and a wedding-car rental company, who has spent 1.5 million yuan ($239,456) buying this car in early March this year for exhibition.

The Tesla Model S car dazzled many car fans with its sleek exterior, black body and frameless window.

The car has received wide popularity since landing in Dalian as its first stop in China on March 28, with the exhibition fee priced at 60,000 yuan ($9,580) per day. With a busy schedule ahead, the Model S will head for Wuxi, Ningbo, Jiangyin, Taicang and other cities for exhibition.

“The car is invited to many events such as house sale center for publicity stunt,” said Zhang. The exhibition tour has earned him a chunk of the car’s cost a month after the purchase. Zhang said that his car is among the 5 to 6 Tesla cars in China and also the first one in Jiangsu as far as he knew.
