On this Day in Chinese History; 27 February

This day, 27 February, in 2002, Jiang Zemin, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and President of China, paid an official goodwill visit to Vietnam. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on accelerating land border demarcation and negotiating the Gulf Fisheries Cooperation Agreement, as well as deepening exchanges  in terms of communist party and governance with socialist construction theory.
