The US International Trade Commission (ITC) decided that the crystalline silicon photovoltaic products imported from mainland China and Taiwan have done substantial damage to relevant industries in America on Feb 14 and the US government will continue its anti-dumping and countervailing investigation on these products. This is America’s second probe into Chinese photovoltaic products after its investigation on Chinese photovoltaic cells in 2011.

China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products issued a statement on behalf of Chinese photovoltaic corporations, and many companies in Jiangsu province are preparing to respond to this investigation that has just been initiated by the US government.

Hareonsolar Company in Wuxi has arranged photovoltaic power station projects overseas in recent years. For example, it has purchased 89% of the stock shares of Waianae PV2 LLC Company in the State of Hawaii through the wholly-owned and share-controlled Hareonsolar Company in the US, and constructed and run the 0.5 MW photovoltaic power station project in the State of Hawaii. The original power plant products are purchased from both Chinese and American market. If the anti-dumping and countervailing policy is approved, the company will purchase solely on American market to reduce the policy’s effect on the cost. Besides, the company can also enjoy subsidies from the American photovoltaic power station.
