Who would have thought that a Zhenjiang Hot Pot restaurant would be the one to take us to the next level of futuristic dining? February 1st saw the latest addition to their staff; a serving robot who drives the ingredients to their respective tables holding them on a tray. However, we mustn’t yet fear an invasion of menacing robots a la Terminator. The robo-server is a mere 1.2m in hight and looks more like a cute rascal than a killing machine. As expected the little marketing stunt got this small guy lots of the attention and shares on WeChat. The restaurant is undoubtedly highly satisfied with their new employee, and they don’t have to worry about him getting hungry and eating the hot pot himself either.
